About the Database of the Safety and Benefits of BiotechnologyThe database contains papers about the impact of agricultural biotechnology. The database has been created primarily for use by regulators and policy makers seeking proactive evidence and scientific corroboration of the impact of biotechnology on crops. It will also be useful for communicators wishing to source facts and figures from scientific reference papers and anyone wishing to research the impact of biotechnology and access supporting information. All the papers have either been published in peer-reviewed journals or have been prepared by organisations that have summarised peer-reviewed studies. Each paper has been scrutinised to ensure the authors are held in good standing and that appropriate scientific methods have been used. Papers are organised primarily by the different areas of impact of biotechnology, listed on the left ? each provides a summary of the impact and a link to the list of papers in the database that relate to that impact area. This list is presented with the facility to specify further search parameters including keywords, an author, the date the paper was published, and any combination of crops, traits, countries, regions and other impact areas. This facility is interactive ? as soon as a parameter is changed, the list updates. The list of studies is being continuously added to and updated, and your suggestions for the inclusion of additional studies are welcome via this form. |
