Database of the Benefits and Safety of Biotechnology

The database currently contains 80 papers. It brings together in one place a selection of key documents for stakeholders to find out more about the impacts of agricultural biotechnology.

The database has been created primarily for use by regulators and policy makers seeking proactive evidence and scientific corroboration of the benefits of using crops derived from biotechnology. It will also be useful for communicators wishing to source facts and figures from scientific reference papers and anyone wishing to research the benefits and safety aspects of biotech crops and access supporting information.

All the papers have either been published in peer-reviewed journals or have been prepared by organisations that have summarised peer-reviewed studies. Each paper has been scrutinised to ensure the authors are held in good standing and that appropriate scientific methods have been used.
